Located in the heart of London at the Southbank, the 1901 Arts Club is a unique venue committed to connecting musicians, artists and persons who share an appreciation and interest for the arts, with regards to its role within society. Inspired by Europe's Salon Culture, the Club seeks to foster conversation, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas. The Club can be hired exclusively and can host regular events, providing a setting not only conducive to impromptu gatherings, but also business meetings, client entertainment and private parties.
Originally a schoolmaster's house, the building maintains its late Victorian exterior while the Club's beautifully decorated rooms re-create the intimate ambience of a private living room. With a performance space, meeting room, terrace and bar among its facilities, the venue offers opportunities to make music with colleagues and friends, to meet with like-minded people, and to enjoy quality informal performances of all genres.
As rentable rehearsal space for visiting artists
Any international artists visiting London could rent our music room in order to practice or rehearse at any time. The (rehearsal) room can be used around the clock and, because there are no residential neighbours adjacent to the building, even a pianist could practice late into the night.
As rentable rehearsal space for London-based artists
Musicians based in London requiring a music room larger than their own living room for chamber music rehearsals or for playing through a programme for friends.
