1901 Arts Club helps to fill the void for convenient, comfortable and affordable rehearsal space in central London suitable for soloists or chamber ensembles.

Facilities
The Salon/Concert room is on the ground floor of 1901 Arts Club.  Included in the hire is the use of a Steinway type C grand piano, chairs suitable for seated rehearsals, music stands plus a conductor’s stand and 2 directional floor lamps in addition to the ample fixed lighting.

As rentable rehearsal space for visiting artists
International artists visiting London are welcome to rent our Salon/Concert room to practise or rehearse at any time.  We try to accommodate rehearsal needs including extended rehearsal hours where necessary.

As rentable rehearsal space for London-based artists
Musicians based in London requiring a music room larger than their own living room for chamber music rehearsals or for playing through a programme for friends will find the generous proportions of the Salon/Concert room very attractive.

Auditions
The spaces of 1901 Arts Club work together to provide a unique audition venue.  With the Salon/Concert room at ground floor level as the main audition space, the Bar and Lounge on the first floor is the ideal waiting area and the Meeting room on the second floor is a conveniently distant warm-up room.  A Yamaha digital grand piano is available as a warm-up instrument in the Meeting room.

To make the audition day(s) run even smoother, tea, coffee and other catering can be arranged for the audition panel.

Salon/Concert Room
with use of Steinway C type grand piano:
Mon-Fri (9am to 5pm): £25/hour
Weekday evenings and Weekends: £38/hour

Use of bar room as rehearsal space (no piano):
Mon-Fri (9am to 5pm): £20/hour
Weekday evenings and Weekends: £30/hour

A minimum of 4 hours applies to weekend bookings.  Discounts are available for charities and young/emerging artists.  Prices are subject to VAT.  Please confirm rates at time of booking.

We can also provide rehearsal participant refreshments (tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits) at very competitive rates of £2.50 + VAT per person per half day.  And if you want more - we have devised a selection of scrumptious catering options with our preferred caterer to complement your rehearsal and keep your musicians energised throughout the rehearsal.
