In Around The World in Piano Transcriptions we get to hear works being rewritten by composers and pianists.

A process of reinvention of something old being made into something fresh and new.  Hear the familiar tunes of Gershwin, and Hammerstein to virtuosic works of Strauss and Godowsky.

Andhika Patrick

Andhika began her music journey at four years old and after winning competitions in Asia and South-East Asia; she was offered a place to study with a Juilliard piano professor at Monash School of Music (Australia) where she graduated a Master of Music in piano performance (1st class honours).

Her performance experience includes masterclasses, concerts solo or with orchestra in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Singapore, Salzburg, Munich, Oxford and many others.

Her extensive solo repertoire includes Bach Chromatic Fantaisie and Fugue, Beethoven Appassionata, Chopin Ballades and Etudes, Liszt Transcendental Etudes, Liszt Mephisto Waltz, Debussy L’Isle Joyeuse and Etudes, Ravel La Valse (solo piano), Strauss/Schulz Evler Blue Danube, and Godowsky transcriptions including the virtuosic Die Fledermaus.

Concerti experience includes Chopin No.1, Saint-Saëns No.2, Beethoven No.5, Grieg No.1, Rachmaninoff No.2 and Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Ravel Left Hand Concerto and many others.

In late 2020-2021 during the pandemic, she immersed herself into studying two virtuosic works by Debussy (L’Isle Joyeuse) and Ravel (La Valse) under the tutelage of Graham Fitch (UK), and received lessons from Dr Mok (USA).  Both pianists have lineage to the French composers Debussy and Ravel.  This project was then released into a CD entitled “The French Connection”, recorded in Zurich, produced by Graham Fitch, and released by Sheva (UK) - Naxos (USA) in May 2022.

Her performance commitments in 2023 include ABC/Iwaki Auditorium Melbourne (January), London (February), Germany (February), Melbourne Recital Hall (April) and several other solo and duet performances in Melbourne and Victoria for Guide Dogs Australia.

Her videos and posts have been viewed millions of times on her social media account.  Her Instagram account has over 50K active followers which keeps her online and offline studio busy with requests for teaching from all corners of the world.

Recital broadcast by 3Mbs Radio (July 2023), "From Our Home To Yours: Chopin" EP recorded at ABC (released August 2023), "The French Connection: Mélodie" selections of chansons with Jordina Howell - for Guide Dogs Victoria (Sept to Dec 2023), "Around The World in Piano Transcriptions" Melbourne Nov 2023.
