Celebrate the festive season with an exclusive, intimate
evening of musical brilliance from International virtuoso duo La PASSIONE, featuring London-born, Guildhall alumnus Mark Reinski and award-winning concert pianist Giovanna Rappa. La PASSIONE makes a highly anticipated return to the capital for a one-night-only performance. Formed within the elite Chamber Music Department of the world-renowned Tchaikovsky Conservatory, this exceptional duo brings an unparalleled level of artistry and technical mastery to the intimate salon stage. The first half of the evening honors the depth of the classical tradition, opening with Edward Elgar’s deeply moving Salut d’Amour, transitioning through Prokofiev’s dramatic Romeo and Juliet, and culminating in the fiery, rhythmic pulse of Astor Piazzolla's tango masterworks. The second half transforms the salon into a cinematic canvas. Audiences will experience soaring, custom-tailored acoustic arrangements of iconic modern masterpieces—from the hypnotic textures of Hans Zimmer's Interstellar to the emotional minimalism of Ludovico Einaudi's Experience. Duo La PASSIONE was founded in 2023, combining a London-born violinist Mark Reinski and a Italian Palermitan pianist Giovanna Rappa. We both graduated the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire with honours last year. and Mark Reinski (violin) have performed as the soloists of the international duo La PASSIONE — a vibrant chamber ensemble representing a new generation of classical musicians.
Founded independently as a chamber project, the ensemble quickly established itself on the concert stage. The duo is actively engaged in both international touring and educational outreach, combining virtuosic performances with original commentaries and exclusive stories of the music and the lives of its composers. La PASSIONE has appeared at prestigious concert venues and international festivals across Russia, Abkhazia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy and the UK. Both musicians are prize winners of numerous international competitions, recognised for their achievements as solo performers as well as members of the duo. Their repertoire brings together masterpieces of the classical canon, rarely performed works, neoclassical staples, and original arrangements, creating a distinctive artistic identity and a compelling dialogue with the audience. The duo has been known for extensive high-class work as part of diplomatic events, performing extensively at the British Ambassador's Residence and other exclusive venues across Europe. |
Giovanna Rappa
Giovanna Rappa is an Italian concert pianist. She displayed exceptional musical talent from an early age, choosing the piano as her principal instrument at the age of five. At six, she also appeared as an actress at the S. Obraztsov State Academic Central Puppet Theatre in Moscow.
She graduated with distinction from the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music, earning qualifications as a concert performer, piano teacher, and collaborative pianist. She continued her studies at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music before enrolling at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, where she studied piano under Professor Mikhail V. Lidsky and collaborative piano under Professor Anastasia P. Konstantinidi.
Giovanna has participated in numerous major concert projects, including the Russian Piano School, through which she made her solo debut in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. She maintains an active international concert career, performing in Moscow’s leading concert venues. A laureate of multiple international piano competitions, she has also taken part in numerous international masterclasses. She is fl uent in Italian, Russian, English, and German.

Mark Reinski
Mark Reinski is a violinist, composer, and arranger. He demonstrated remarkable musical talent from an early age, choosing the violin at six and soon becoming a soloist with the Russian children’s choir Rosinka in London. In 2008, he performed in the St. George Hall of the Moscow Kremlin, where he was personally congratulated by the President of Russia.
He received an outstanding international musical education. He studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where, at the age of fourteen, he earned the Higher Certificate of Music. During his studies, he served as concertmaster of both the Junior Guildhall Orchestra and the Junior Guildhall Chamber Orchestra, won the school's String Quartet Competition, and was awarded a full scholarship for exceptionally gifted young musicians.
He later continued his training at the École Normale de Musique de Paris Alfred Cortot, where he was enrolled in the Young Talent Programme. There, he twice received the institution’s highest internal competition prize and held a full scholarship. He subsequently graduated from the Central Music School of the Moscow Conservatory and continued his studies at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory under Professor Sergey I. Kravchenko through the Presidential Scholarship Programme of the Russian Federation. He is also a scholarship recipient of the Vladimir Spivakov International Charitable Foundation. Mark is a laureate of numerous international competitions, the composer of original works, and the arranger of a wide range of musical repertoire. From 2017 to 2019, he participated in programmes at the Sirius Educational Centre. In 2024, he took part in the World Youth Festival, where he performed both as a musician and an intercultural communicator, concluding his participation with a solo concert programme. In 2023, he was awarded the prestigious Alpha Chance Award.
