​A vibrant four‑hands journey through Brazilian colour and character — from Mahle’s Northeastern folk inflections and Miranda’s sharp‑edged tango variations to Nazareth’s irresistible choro‑inspired charm — all crowned by the sweeping, jazz‑soaked exhilaration of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue.

Yoko Ono

Yoko Ono has performed internationally at prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall and South Bank Centre in the UK, the National Concert Hall in Ireland, and Tokyo Metropolitan Festival Hall in Japan.  Now based in Brighton, she is a dedicated piano teacher at the Royal College of Music Junior Department and Roedean School.  Alongside her teaching, she continues to perform regularly and has recorded chamber music CDs released by Claudio Records and DKlassics.  She is privileged to have had works dedicated to her by British composers Peter Copley, Paul Carr, John Hawkins, and Barry Mills.  She also serves as a committee member of the Lunchtime Concerts at the Chapel Royal, a concert series that has received a Community Service Recognition Award from the Rotary Club of Brighton.

Clélia Iruzun

Clélia's website
Anglo-Brazilian pianist Clélia Iruzun is internationally acclaimed for her powerful artistry and distinctive interpretations of European and Latin American repertoire.  Born in Rio de Janeiro, she made her orchestral debut at fifteen and has since performed over 30 piano concertos with leading orchestras worldwide.  She appears regularly at major international venues and festivals, including Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, La Roque d'Anthéron, and concert halls across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, with frequent broadcasts on BBC Radio 3.  A tireless champion of Brazilian music, her critically praised discography for Naxos and other labels includes award-nominated concerto recordings and landmark albums devoted to Villa-Lobos, Mignone, Albéniz, and Oscar Lorenzo Fernández.
