Poliphonia presents a vivid, all‑Brazilian journey for violin and piano, moving from Guarnieri’s intimate miniatures to Santoro’s taut modernism and culminating in the sweeping lyricism and fiery brilliance of Guarnieri’s Fourth Sonata.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Jamile Costa Destro began studying the violin at the age of ten through a social music programme supporting children and families from disadvantaged backgrounds. Her passion for orchestral and chamber music quickly emerged, leading her to start her early orchestral leader career after just couple of years learning the violin. At thirteen, she gave her first solo performance at MASP (São Paulo Museum of Art) and was awarded a scholarship for a three-week exchange programme with The Juilliard School in New York.
Recognised as a rising talent in the Brazilian classical music scene, Jamile studied under Felipe Santarelli and Elisa Fukuda, participating in masterclasses and festivals including the Ilumina Festival. Alongside her studies, she joined the São Paulo Youth Symphony Orchestra (OJESP), serving as Principal Second Violin and receiving the prestigious Machado Meyer Prize in her final year.
In 2017, following a chamber music coaching session with Jon Thorne, Head of Chamber Music at the Royal Academy of Music, Jamile was invited to audition for undergraduate studies at the Royal Academy of Music. She subsequently studied at the Academy in London from 2018 to 2023 on a full scholarship, becoming the first ever Brazilian female violinist to receive this distinction. During her studies, she performed extensively in chamber and orchestral projects, winning awards and leading both RAM Opera Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra a few times during her stay.
In 2024, Jamile toured internationally with the Ilumina Festival, continuing to share music with diverse audiences and communities. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, supported by various scholarships. Alongside her classical training, she has recently led the Trinity Laban Jazz Ensemble and has been actively involved in popular music projects, reflecting her openness to collaboration across different musical styles.
Deeply committed to chamber music and collective music-making, she has led opera and chamber projects, championed Brazilian repertoire in concerts, and worked closely on artistic projects connected with A. R. Rahman, Honorary President of Trinity Laban. She has also recently been finalist of the prestigious J&A Beare Classical Concerto Competition. Passionate about communication through music, Jamile values kindness, connection, and the ability of music to bring people together. She hopes her work as a performer reflects not only artistic dedication, but also generosity, empathy, and a genuine care for others.

André Luiz Bertoncini Feltrin is a Brazilian collaborative pianist specialising in opera and chamber music. He completed his Master of Arts in Piano Accompaniment with Distinction (DipRAM) at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with Michael Dussek and James Baillieu. André trained as a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio (NOS), London in 2025/26.
For three seasons, André was assistant répétiteur at the Morley Opera School, working on opera scenes ranging from the Baroque to the modern era. In 2024, he worked as répétiteur for Die Zauberflöte at the Nevill Holt Festival, conducted by Finnegan Downie Dear, and for Britten’s Peter Grimes with British Youth Opera. He performed at the ‘A Proud Future’ concert with soprano Abigail Sinclair as part of Classical Pride UK, and was a Leeds Lieder Young Artist, where he worked with Sir Thomas Allen and Dame Felicity Lott. André made his Wigmore Hall debut in 2023 with the Academy Song Circle, and attended Brel Summer School in France, where he learnt from Joseph Middleton and Amanda Roocroft.
In 2023 André was awarded the Accompanist Prize at the Bampton Young Singer Competition, the Richard Lewis/Jean Shanks Award with tenor Samuel Stopford, and the Evelyn German Prize for the highest mark in the final recital at RAM.
Before moving to the UK, André was a full-time Assistant Collaborative Pianist at UEM (State University of Maringá), accompanying and coaching vocal and instrumental students in classes and performances as well as teaching piano. He was involved in extracurricular activities through the University’s outreach project, PIN, offering the same kind of musical support and guidance to students from the wider community. André acted as accompanist and répétiteur for FEMUSC (Music Festival of Santa Catarina). He holds a Bachelor’s degree from UNESPAR/EMBAP (Brazil), where he studied in the class of Russian pianist Olga Kiun with support from the Dieuwertje Meijer Project.
