From the South to Vienna traces a journey from the Spanish keyboard music of Scarlatti to the Viennese Classic Style, focusing on the music of the little-known composer Manuel Blasco de Nebra (1750-1784). This unjustly neglected composer engages listeners with an expressive world that is far more searching than Scarlatti’s, with a quality reminiscent of Mozart and Haydn, while also foretelling the music of Schubert and even Chopin.
Paris-based pianist Ida Pelliccioli has dedicated her studies and performance to this specialist area of musical research. ProgrammeDomenico Scarlatti

Ida received artistic direction from Norma Fisher at the Royal College of Music in London and she is one of the few pianists to have received guidance from the Cuban concert pianist Jorge Luis Prats.
