LONDON PIANO MEETUP GROUP
The London Piano Meetup Group provides opportunities for adult amateur pianists in the London area to meet up with like-minded pianists and practice performing in an informal setting. We meet to play for each other – a small audience of fellow piano enthusiasts – every few weeks, and afterwards head to a nearby pub or cafe to socialise and chat about all things piano-related. The group welcomes everyone from beginners to advanced pianists, playing all styles of repertoire, and observers are also welcome at most events for those who don't feel like performing, or to invite friends/relatives along.
The events are an ideal place to practice performing whole pieces, parts of pieces, or ‘works-in-progress’, improvisations, own compositions - anything piano related! The group is friendly, supportive and encouraging as everyone appreciates the unique challenges of playing in front of others. Those who have not been to an LPMG event before are particularly welcome.
The LPMG is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis; all ticket sales go towards venue hire and running costs.
Admission (and reservation of a performing slot if you wish to perform) is through pre-bought tickets only, we do not sell tickets on the door. The ticketing link will close 24 hours before the event, there are no refunds or transfers on tickets.

Christmas Party and performance event
London Piano Meetup Group is celebrating another year of adult amateur pianism with our fourth annual Christmas party!
In order for as many of our pianists as possible to play, we have use of the 1901 Arts Club and its lovely Steinway C for the *whole* evening, as well as use of the bar upstairs. Canapes and two free drinks per person are also included. For building capacity, guests are limited to max. two per performer.
For this special event, we will divide performances into 3 x 1 hour slots - please choose which you want to play in by buying the appropriately labelled ticket. We'd suggest you aim to listen to one or two of the three 'concerts' in the salon downstairs, but also spend some time catching up with piano friends in the bar upstairs; it will be possible to move in and out of the salon to a certain degree in between performances, and drinks can be taken throughout the venue. There will be a (cash/card) bar available throughout to top up the drinks that come with your ticket.
Time limit for performers: 7 minutes
Performing slots available: 24 across the whole evening
Doors open from 6pm
Tickets must be reserved in advance (available from 12 November)
