What's on

What's on at 1901 Arts Club 

Though we may look and feel a bit like a private members' club there is no membership fee for 1901 Arts Club.  Public events and recitals, as listed on these pages, are open to all who would like to book a ticket and enjoy the intimate surroundings of 1901 Arts Club.  

Unless otherwise stated, the bar is open for ticketholders before each event, during any intervals, and post performance where you can socialise with the performers and other audience members in our friendly and comfortable surroundings.

​Noted for a vocal delivery that is, "forceful, with a high register that sounds like Arthur Blythe, a low range that booms out like Armstrong’s," vocalist Sophie Dunér makes her 1901 Arts Club debut with “nuclear reactor” pianist Jonathan Powell in a unique programme of six works by the influential late-20th century composers Morton Feldman and Karlheinz Stockhausen.

This performance forms part of the Hattori Foundation early evening concert series.  This is a very friendly series, in true Salon-style, where guests are invited to enjoy a pre-concert drink included in the ticket price, a one-hour performance (without interval) and then meet the performers and Trustees in the Club's bar after each recital for complimentary refreshments.  ​​​​​
